At only 20 years of age and making only his second appearance on the Freeride World Tour, Maxime Chabloz outclassed the competition in the second stage of the Freeride World Tour in Ordino Arcalis (Andorra).

Fifth a week ago in Baqueira Beret (Spain), the Nidwaldo-Vaudois took a totally different line from his opponents. His risk-taking was rewarded in the scores, as was his continuous control and his magnificent style in the air. Chabloz slammed an amazing backflip on the second part of his run.
The conditions were not favorable, the snow was hard and did not make it easy for the freeriders. The competition was marked by several falls, like that of the winner of the first stage in Baqueirat Beret (Spain), the Swede Max Palm. In Andorra, Maxime Chabloz scored 92.33 points to beat the Americans Ross Tester and Andrew Pollard.
That’s not it, another Swiss representative on the Freeride World Tour this season, and our athlete, Sybille Blanjean took an excellent 5th place. The 22-year-old rider from Verbier was only competing in her second race at this level. She had already taken a good 6th place last Sunday in Baqueira Beret
We could not hope for a better start of the season with both of our athletes, we are extremely proud, and we cannot wait to see what is in store for them for the rest of the season.
The next competition is scheduled for February 12-17 in Kicking Horse Golden BC, Canada.
